GAO Report: DOD’s and the Coast Guard’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Programs Need to Be Further Strengthened (February 24, 2010)

The GAO-10-405T report is testimony is a follow-up to the 2008 report in which GAO reported that sexual assault is a crime with a far-reaching negative impact on the military services in that it undermines core values, degrades mission readiness and esprit de corps, subverts strategic goodwill, and raises financial costs. Eleven (11) recommendations, nine (9) for the Department of Defense and two (2) for the Coast Guard.
