Training Manual: Women Working for Normalization (2014)

This Training Manual on "Women Working for Normalization", was initiated by the United Nations Women Engaged in Action on 1325 (WE Act 1325 and funded by the Australian government. It recognizes women are not just victims of armed conflict, but pivotal forces in deterring and stopping armed conflict. While disproportionately affected by conflict, women are often on the margins political processes and governmental decisionmaking. This inclusive effort recognizes women's rights to meaningful political participation and protection from all forms of violence. Women from Mindanao (Philippines) were cosulted and their perspectives submitted to negotiating panels.
