Sourcebook Volume 3, like Volumes 1and 2, describes sociodemographic characteristics
and health care utilization patterns of women Veteran patients in VHA, using updated (Fiscal Year
2012 [FY12]) data. Sourcebook Volume 3 builds on the prior reports by providing data about
women Veterans' race/ethnicity, service in Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom/
Operation New Dawn (OEF/OIF/OND), and costs of care, as well as detailed information about the
medical conditions for which women Veterans are treated in VHA.
