Honor Flights for Women Veterans
Category: History/Heritage
Honor Flight Network organizations nationwide fly veterans, female and male, to Washington D.C. in recognition of their military service. Local organizations are more frequently offering all-female veteran trips to visit the National Mall memorials and the Women in Military Service for America memorial in Arlington Cemetery. Amidst much preflight, inflight, and post-flight camaraderie, is a great deal of emotion surrounding each woman's military service experiences and memories. Listed here are stories of some of these special flights shared in the media. To watch videos of these flights, search "Honor Flight" in the WomenVetsUSA National Video & Audio section.
