DOD IG Report: Evaluation of the Department of Defense Combating Trafficking in Persons Program (June 16,2014)

The Department of Defense (DOD) Inspector General report (Report No. DODIG-2014-079), dated June 16, 2014, identified five areas not in compliance with the DOD "Combating Trafficking in Persons (CTIP)" program. They included: program not in compliance with DOD policy, lack of multi-level program reviews, personnel training, and non-integration into operational and contingency plans.
Three areas made progress to include: Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy Office, Army and Air Force Exchanges, and Army Contracting Command-Kuwait and the Defense Contract Management Agency.
