VA "Advisory Committee on Women Veterans" (ACWV): Reports & Minutes (1988-Present)

In November 1983, following the first meeting of the VA National Advisory Committee on Women Veterans, Congress passed Public Law 98-160, "Veterans' Health Care Amendments of 1983," mandating VA charter an Advisory Committee on Women Veterans (ACWV). The statutory Committee's first order of business was to assess women veterans' needs, access to VA programs and services, and to make recommendations.
ACWV meeting minutes, recommendations, and other reports are posted on this site. Final disposition of ACWV recommendations are not posted on line. Contact the Center for Women Veterans for recommendation outcomes. The ACWV is one of twenty-five advisory committees to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs.
